We are pleased to welcome you to the website of Immanuel Lutheran Church. We are located in Oxford, Connecticut.
We are a lively, active group of people, young and old and in-between, and at various stages in our lives as Christian believers. Some of our families have been part of our life for generations, and some are new, not only to Immanuel, but to Christian faith.
What we share is a life of prayer and praise, fellowship and service. This is a community open to all!
We would still be more pleased to welcome you in person. If this website can help inform and invite you to join us for worship, fellowship, or service in our community, it will have served our hopes well.
Welcome to Immanuel, a family-friendly church that reaches out to make disciples of all ages!
The Youth Group is raising funds for the MS Walk on April 22, 2018 (walking for team "Kara's Crusaders"). They will be providing "Specialty Coffees" during coffee hour after both services. Please support our youth in their fundraising efforts.
S.O.S.- Save our Fellowship hour! Do you enjoy a cup of coffee and a sweet treat after service? We need individuals or families to help with coffee hour. You can be paired up with a partner and pick either service. This ministry rotates every 2-3 months and dates can easily be traded. Please contact Jeanmarie Mullen if you have any questions or would like to help out with this ministry. firstname.lastname@example.org

ADVANCED CARE PLANNING: Join the Seymour/Oxford Ecumenical Clergy & Griffin Hospital to learn about advanced care and planning for end of life. It is never too early to begin thinking about your wishes for healthcare, end of life, and funeral preparations. On Monday April 16th from 6pm-7:30pm, at Trinity Episcopal in Seymour, all are invited to a conversation with professional presenters from Griffin hospital. We will follow this conversation with a funeral planning workshop at Immanuel (date to be announced).
Prayers: We hold many beloved people in prayer throughout our community. Names will remain in the spoken prayers for 2 weeks. (You can always ask to have their name added back on to the spoken prayers.) After 2 weeks, they will remain on the newsletter Prayer Circle list until you ask for them to be removed. Prayer Circle members are folks dedicated to praying for your loved one during the week. To add a name to the prayer circle list, or to remove a name, please contact Debby Steckert or Pastor Niki. Thank you.
